LifeStyle Video Magnifier
LifeStyle is your low vision solution. Imagine what
you can do again!
HIMS offers two LifeStyle standard-definition models,
each one available with the choice of a 19”
LCD or 22” LCD display screen. The D630 is our
basic features model and the D650 includes the advanced
features described below. See the Technical Specifications
below describing each model.
All the Features You Expect
It’s so easy to use! All LifeStyle models feature
a simple front panel design. Power, Magnification,
and Image buttons are all located on the front panel.
A single Power button powers on the unit. Magnification
buttons are large, ergonomic push buttons. To increase
the magnification, simply press the UP arrow button
or to decrease the magnification just press the Down
arrow button. LifeStyle will zoom up or down continuously
(not to a limited preset number of magnification levels
as some other brands do) to your preferred size once
the button is released. To select or change the Image
mode, press the large Left or Right arrow button to
view Color, enhanced Reverse image (white letters
on a black background), enhanced B/W, normal B/W,
or the most commonly used monochrome images like yellow
text on a black background, yellow text on a blue
background, or green text on a black background.
Advanced Features (D650 only)
Advanced features are available with the LifeStyle
D650. Set horizontal or vertical Line Markers to help
guide reading across a row of text or separate columns
of a table or spreadsheet, or create a horizontal
or vertical window view by adjusting the Window mode
button. Or, for PC connectivity, plug in a DVI-D cable
from the PC to the LifeStyle, then toggle back and
forth to switch between a full screen view of the
LifeStyle image or the full screen view of the PC
screen display. (Note: MicroSoft Windows Accessibility
settings or computer magnification software is required
to enlarge the PC image).
The D650 also offers users the option to select between
Picture Mode in which all text, photos, pictures,
graphs, and similar images are displayed in geometric
proportion, or Text Mode in which the text and spacing
between letters are slightly expanded making itvisually
more comfortable for some users to read more comfortably.
Choose 19” or 22” LCD Screen Size
Your choice of a 19” or 22” wide-screen
LCD screen size is available. Both monitors adjust
higher or lower, tilt forward or back, and swivel
left or right for optimum viewing height and angle
comfort.
